MissionKC
Our community gathers every other Wednesday night at 7 PM for a time of teaching, worship, & activation. Below are some of our MissionKC core values.
Come Hungry
We are a community of young adults hungry to see and experience the Kingdom of God made manifest on earth “as it is in heaven”. The writer of Hebrews says that “without faith it is impossible to please God”. We believe that another way to spell faith is R-I-S-K and even just a “mustard seed” of it has the power to move mountains. We also believe in the words of Jesus: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled”.
Come Humble
We want to be teachable. This means that we must often put aside what we think we know and, as Jesus said, “become like little children.”
“I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.”
- Jesus
Come Honest
We seek to be vulnerable and authentic. Vulnerability is one of the keys to developing intimate, authentic relationships. To be vulnerable means to “let down your guard” and to be open and honest about who you are, where you came from and where you are in this moment. Without that vulnerability we cannot be known. Recognizing the pressure to always “be on” and perform for others, we encourage everyone in our community to take off the masks, put down the armor, and simply show up and be seen.
